Shows and Performances

Federica  captivates the stage with her charisma and irresistible smile.  She is fluent in a variety of styles which recreate, with an elegant and sensuous dance , a magical atmosphere which transports the spectator  to the middle east!

 

She offers different kind of oriental dance performances for a great variety of events and celebrations, public and private.  Depending on the durations and the sort, Federica can perform as soloist or with her musician band or with her dance group

Spectacles as a solist with the andalusi music band  “La Nuba Gharnatì” , the dance company “Zaar”, Bailarinas Nazaries, medieval camps, festivals, Weddings and private events

La Nuba Gharnati

Music and Dance andalusi Foursome “La Nuba Gharnati”  is integrated by musicians from different origin and musical education, who combine  their talents and knowledge in order to play a large repertoire from oriental and Andalusian music

 Their labour involves too an important research task, focusing on the Andalusian music repertoires from  different schools and genres

This task requires the quarter to specialized in andalusi maghrebi music ( morrocan school  al-àla, egarnatí and el ma’luf) as well in the interpretation of their own andalusi moaxajas from oriental wasla, whose field stands out because of the essential contribution of the fifth band component, the dancer, Federica Masi , who has become  a reference for the andalusi dance according to the Egyptian school Mahmoud reda
The band interprets also some pieces from other Arabic music styles, classic and  popular, in order to accompany Federica´s dance. The instrumentation is very varied, coming from the versatility from the components who are capable of adapting to each one of the repertoire pieces

Abdessalam Neiti (qanun and ney); Salma Vives (cello and arabic oud); Otmane Yacoubi (arabic oud and voice); Vicente Martí (wind and percussion) Fernando De Piaggi (wind  and percussion) ; Federica Masi (dance).The band can count with more musicians if necessary for the project, until get a whole formed orchestra

Zaar

Zaar company is integrated by six professional dancers who have more than 15 years of oriental dance experience. It is about a group which combines, experience, technique and a special passion for the dance which is palpable by the spectators

Al Bidaya

Debut was in 2007. It is an spectacle of dance, light and sound, inspired in the four elements of nature( water, air, earth and fire ), in which spectators will get to know some of the folklore dancers most representative of the Arabic world like Khaleegy( Persian gulf) or Zaar ( from Egypt), together with a colorful wardrobe that respects the traditions and some aspects of own creation

The piece consists of 4 parts, which correspond the four elements of nature. Every part is introduced by an scene full of colors and sounds which will take us into the essence of the nature elements and into the sensations which are represented

From the Alhambra to the Zambra

The second spectacle is an itinerary through the history of the dance but also of the Granada city.  It is a solid search of tradition, history and modernity where Zaar exposes a collection of dances and styles related with the Alhambra, oriental dance and Flamenco.
There are representations of musical scenes, painting and scents of the Granada Nazari. The delight of the arriving of the so called “Egyptgpypsies” gypsies who brought us from Orient their joy  and fanfare, the Hamman, with its calm , relax for the senses , the palace dances, te salons…

But it is also a go and return journey, the show gives a wink to the dance and Arabic folklore, making new interpretations of popular dances from Persia and Alexandria

The show has a mesmerizing Flamenco dancers, like Eva Manzado who makes a tribute to Flamenco which is one of the biggest dances arts in Andalusia and of course, Granada

Bailarinas Nazaries

It offers a performance replete with joy and colors very suitable for medieval camps, passacaglias , weddings and private events. The dancers perform with all the traditional elements from this dance: Veils, isis wings, sticks, candelabras, candles, fans, swords and even dance fusion with fire
